There are some minor changes being made at the Travelodge at the Victoria Avenue/Ferry Street bend. They have eliminated one of their rooms, and it appears they are going to make either another main entrance or perhaps a retail/concession outlet. The area outside the room used to be a garden, and they have put cement in there as well as in the room at the same level. Doors have been put in as well, where before it was a solid wall.

It seems that most operators like to do this sort of thing. They try to have higher revenue operations at street front, and lower revenue ones back from the street. A room at the Travelodge might pull in only $150 a day, where even a snack bar would pull in much more than that.
