Ok, so I’ve heard several news reports about the Superman “S” symbol/logo being shown on the Horseshoe Falls each night from Saturday to Wednesday starting at 9 pm. Last night I brought the whole family down with the sole purpose of seeing the symbol, and having a nice walk while we were doing it. So we got here at about 9:10 pm, and from the Maid of the Mist plaza, we couldn’t see anything. We waited for a few minutes thinking that maybe they were just a bit late. Then I started to think that I had the time wrong. We started to walk closer to the Falls so we could see it better when it came on at 9:30 (or so we thought). As we got closer, we noticed red lights on the side of the gorge right beside the Horseshoe Falls, and as we got closer, we saw that it was a message that flashed repeatedly:

I took some pictures, but the message was so dim and so far away it was hard to get good ones:
We were in the area for about an hour, and never once saw more than that lame, red message. Either they have falsely advertised what it was going to be, or we just happened to go down on a night where they were having problems. Either way it was disappointing.
