From the Niagara Falls Review: Strapped into articulating yellow chairs and wearing 3D glasses, riders on the new XD Theater ride on Clifton Hill don’t know what they’re in for. But as the lights dim and the massive screen in front of them comes to life, they’re suddenly aboard a futuristic roller coaster hurtling them…
There is new advertising covering where Graham had posted back in 2005 about this same billboard. It was dedicated to the Movieland Wax museum on Stanley Avenue, but was starting to become very sun faded. They have now changed it to represent the Niagara Skywheel on Clifton Hill and it really stands out.
Someone with a Typepad blog posted about an upcoming trip to Niagara Falls (perhaps they’ve already been here): We are going to Niagara Falls, Ontario. We have booked into a hotel right on Clifton Hill, where it is like Las Vegas Jr. I look forward to taking my family on the Maid of the Mist,…
I don’t know if these are related, or if they are two different projects… I posted before that there was construction at the Domino’s on Clifton Hill. Well, it looks like the Domino’s is gone. The Tim Hortons building (also housing a retail store and attraction in the basement) on Clifton Hill is coming along nicely:
This is old news (view the PDF of the press release), but I haven’t posted it before: Wichita, KS – June 30, 2005 – Chance Morgan is pleased to announce the sale of a 175-foot tall Giant Gondola Wheel to HOCO Entertainment & Resorts. Designed by Ronald Bussink Professional Rides based in Appenzell, Switzerland, the…
HOCO has finally started their construction. It looks like it will be done in a couple of phases. They have torn down their existing building that housed the Cosmic Golf glow-in-the-dark mini-putt, and Niagara Marketplace. I believe this building will be rebuilt for a similar purpose. The Ferris wheel is going a little further back…
