Does anyone go to the Skylon Tower arcade?

Yesterday I walked through the Skylon Tower SkyQuest Family Fun Centre and I was literally the only one there. I recognize that it was a rainy day at the beginning of May, but I always see at least a couple of people. However this time there was not a single person. It was deserted. I didn’t even see any workers.

Some more Skylon Tower arcade articles

At the beginning of March I linked to an article that commentor @SaraAB87 had let me know about. She had written a blog post for the Arcade Heroes website.

She has posted a couple of other articles about the arcade and some of the unique or rare games that they have:

Arcade review and history: Skyquest Arcade at the Basement of the Skylon Tower, Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada

I recently posted a couple of things about the Skylon Tower. Apparently the arcade on the lower level (basement?) has some old/retro, and consequently, rare games.

Food court in the bottom level of the Skylon Tower

The main reason that people visit the Skylon Tower is to go up the tower for the view, or for the restaurant. If you’ve been there, you’ve probably also noticed that the bottom level has a large arcade. I don’t think I’ve ever seen more than 20 people or so in that area. There is also a small food court with 4 fast food outlets. At one point there was a Mr. Submarine, Pizza Pizza, Dairy Queen, and a generic one. Now Mr. Sub and Dairy Queen are closed up. The signs are up for the other two, but who knows if they are actually going to be open. I don’t remember the last time I saw any of them open.

Renovations at Starbucks inside Skylon Tower

Last week I posted about the Starbucks at the Skylon Tower complex on Murray St and how it was undergoing some renovations. Trevor Shaw reminded me there is a Starbucks inside. I stopped by the other day to check it out, and it too is under renovations.
